Chocolate Bacon Blondies
(based on a Hersheys recipe)

Prep time: 20 minutes. Total time: 1:50. Note: these times assume you are
using prepared bacon bits. Add 20 minutes if you wish to cook, cool and
chop your own bacon.

Ingredients:

2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/4 cups bacon bits
1/2 cup toffee bits
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:
Pre-heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan.

Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Beat butter and brown sugar in large bowl until well blended. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Beat well. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well. Add bacon bits and chocolate chips, stir until smooth and even. Spread batter in prepared pan.

Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until edges begin to pull from sides of pan. Remove from oven; immediately sprinkle toffee bits over top. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. About 36 bars.
