Schokoladenmuseum (Chocolate
Museum - Cologne, Germany)
According to Ms. CocoaJava's source... "It's
a pretty fun and informative museum. The history of chocolate section
doesn't gloss over grower-processer trade inequalities or past injustices
in the chocolate trade, there is a fully functioning mini chocolate factory
with all the steps outlined, and there is a tiny greenhouse with recreated "tropical
rainforest". My favorite parts were the the pop-culture of chocolate
sections--they had some really hilarious old German television ads, and
a collection of old packages and posters, etc. The building itself is
also pretty nice, architecturally, and it's right on the Rhein. At the
website, Information is given in German and in English, although the
English gets sparse in
certain parts."
